E’ Jan Tratnik il primo leader di classifica al Giro di Romandia 2019. Lo sloveno del Team Bahrain Merida vince il cronoprologo di Neuchatel, percorrendo i quasi 4km in 5’06”

Secondo posto per Primoz Roglic (+1”) che completa la doppietta slovena, prima volta nella storia del Giro di Romandia. Chiude il podio Tom Bohli (3° a +1”), poi Tony Martin (4° a +4”) e Alex Dowsett (5° a 4”)
